Electronic Scrap

If you save all of your old junk, chances are you have some computers and other electronics sitting around that no longer function properly. There are components inside of these electronics that are worth some money. A lot of the parts in computers have some value even when they no longer work. They have parts that are coated in precious metals like copper, aluminum, and sometimes even gold. If you take a day to take all of the boards out of the old equipment, you can box it up and ship it out to different companies that will pay you for the scrap.

Different companies pay in different ways. Some even pay for shipping so that you don't have to incur the extra cost of shipping 50+ lbs of electronic scrap. Some companies pay by the weight of the different component categories you send in in total before taking the precious metals off of the scrap ($0.70 / lb hard drives). Some will pay you based off of the current price of what they can salvage from the things you send in. It takes a hefty amount of any recycled goods to make a lot of money from them, but every little bit counts. Maybe you have a computer repair business on the side or a collection of busted printers. All of those can be taken apart to get the components that the companies will take.

Here are a couple of those companies. There may even be some local to you that you can just drop stuff off to.

Do you have a really good business idea?

So you think that you have a fantastic business idea? You just need some start cash right? Well, in the event you are unaware there is a website for that. You set the goal, or your needed amount of money. Next, post some things about your idea, gather support. Also, make sure that the people who you are putting this out there too are going to get something back.

If you have not figured it out, we are talking about KickStarter. KickStarter is a fantastic start up website. You do not have to pay the money that you raise back, but make sure that you are giving something back to the supporters in lieu of their donations to your idea.

The best part of KickStarter is that you do not have to pay the money back. This is a great idea since if your idea fails, you are not in debt, but if your business flourishes, you can focus on your business and not paying back your loans.

The downside of KickStarter is that you have  a limited time to get your goal. You really need to think about your goal. You want it low enough to allow it to be met, but high enough to cover what ever it is you need taken care of.

Test websites

This one is a little less common. You have to sign up, then wait to see when you have websites that want you to test their website.

This website UserTesting is the website we are referring too. This website is alright, and it pays pretty well. Once you get your first website review, you can actually make more by signing up for mobile website reviews. They require about 15 minute videos. The website reviews pay $10 per review. The mobile reviews are $15. That is good money for a 15 minute review.

Build websites for cash

So you know how to build websites. You are quick, and make them look very nice, but do not want to spend the time or money to monetize your websites. You are in luck! Simply put, approach small businesses and ask if you can build them a website for their business.

Spend a night whipping up a website to showcase to some small businesses. Make sure you can show them that it even has a mobile version. Build some rapport with some small businesses building websites, if you are good, they will recommend you to everyone they know.  Also, you can show other small businesses the websites that you built for your other clients. Easy portfolio.

GoFundMe

This is a really great concept, especially since it is a charity. You can literally just post your story, place a goal, share to friends, and family via social websites.

Also there is no time frames. This means that you do not have to worry about doing this all within a small, short time frame.

You can make a charity campaign for yourself. Then post it everywhere. Remember the more exposure you get, the more you will recieve.

Due note this is the best time of the year for anything to do with charity since people are typically more giving during the holiday seasons.

Cashing in on cans

A very easy, reasonable way to get quick cash is to recycle scrap metal. If you do not have any metal scrap, well this will require a little more effort then. You can walk down a highway stretch, and collect some cans. Maybe you live in the city, you could dumpster dive for aluminum cans. Then you can just take those to a scrap yard that pays for aluminum. This is easy enough to get some extra cash from. This is typically quick, easy, and it can sometimes pay more than you expect. This is really nice if you have 5-6 bags of cans laying around your house in bags. Just remember, if you crush the cans you can get more in per bag. The heavier the bags, the better since they pay by the pound.

Coupons!

Coupons may not make you money, but if they cut down on the amount of money that you spend then it is still money in your pocket. You need to buy things like groceries anyways, so why not save as much as you can in the process. Coupons can be combined with other options like the grocery shopping apps mentioned in previous posts to stack up some serious savings over the course of a year. If you are looking to cut costs so that you have more in your pocket, this is one big thing that you can't pass up.

No matter where you do your shopping, you can find coupons to cut the cost of the bill. You can usually find coupons at the store site. Giant Eagle for example allows you to go onto their site and select eOffers which load right onto your Advantage card. This makes it easy and convenient. There is no reason that you should not stack savings in as many ways as possible.

There is also the option of printable coupons. You can usually print coupons from the store site in most cases. You can also try a site like coupons.com to find printable coupons for more savings. Just make sure the coupons state that they are store or manufacturer coupons on them and save away!

An option not often considered

There are things that you may never think of that can actually generate a decent amount of money. One of those is participating in psychology studies. If you live near a university, these are especially easy to find. Many studies have a need of controls, or normal healthy people, to participate. Some may be a quick 15-30 minute visit while others can take months. The compensation that you receive depends on the tasks that you have to do.

These psych studies may actually provide a dual benefit as well. For instance, I was involved in a study that paid well for non-daily smokers and offered to help them quit. It was over a 6 month period where visits were weekly at first, slowing down until the last one which was a full 3 months after the previous. Not only did I get help to quit smoking, but I got paid for it and helped research that could better our society someday.

If you do not live near a university, you can find some studies online. Those may not pay as well as the ones that require you to participate in person, but they usually do not require much more than a survey. Here is a site that has some of these types of studies. Psych Studies

GigBucks - Yet Another Fiverr

GigBucks is another great Fiverr knock off. I really like this one since you can post jobs from $5-$50 ads. This is another great website for those with SEO skills. There are lots of opportunities for SEO jobs, article writing, Data Entry, Cleaning out viruses, etc.

Maybe you have a fantastic fresh, new idea? Maybe you are going to corner the market? This may be the right place to get started on that, especially since you can corner the market and start in higher.

They are simple, work just like Fiverr, and are same style commission.

Ebay - Quick, simple.

Similar to the Craigslist post earlier regarding selling your stuff on Craigslist, well you can also sell  your stuff on Ebay as well. You can sell things such as old clothes that no longer fit. CD's that you have on your computer, and phone. Maybe you have an emporium of DVD's / Blu-rays, and you have enough space to place them on your computer? Well you can now get rid of them, while still keeping them technically. You are selling the physical version of them. Maybe you do not watch them any longer, and they are just taking up space. If you have old games you can throw them up on Ebay as well.

Just make sure to do a little research first. Maybe you should sell everything together? Depending on the items you are selling, it may make more sense to sell them this way so that you make money. If you sell everything for $1, after Ebay fees you may lose money, instead of gaining money.

Quick, Easy money

Something that you can take a look into is if anyone has ever owed money to you, and there was a check sent that went "unclaimed", well then you can check out Missing Money. Maybe you moved out of an old apartment in which they owe you your security deposit, but were not able to locate you because they did not have your new address. There are plenty of reasons, but it is worth the 5 minutes that it takes to look at this website to find out.

This is the main place you can go to search for unclaimed money for yourself is the website above. This website allows you to search for yourself. You would put in per state. So if you have ever lived in say Ohio, then moved to West Virginia, then you would want to search for both. If you only ever lived in Ohio, then you will only have to look in Ohio.

This may be the easiest money you can get. I would not say it will always be fast, but extra money, is extra money. It may give you enough to invest somewhere, or save.

Part-Time Job

You could always try a part-time job. Sure this is not always easy, but it does pay. Part-time jobs can have some other perks that you may not necessarily find in any of the other things we review. You may make some new friends, or maybe they give you a discount to where you are working. If you do the bulk of your shopping at that place, then a discount will help you. You can really stack up the discounts when you have an employee discount, and you use coupons, and cash back from a credit card.

This is a solid source of income for beer money for sure. Definitely worth looking into since they are typically not that hard to find depending on where you live.

Perk

Perk is very similar to Swag Bucks. There are many options available to earn points. You can do anything from search the web using the Perk search to answer surveys or sign up for special offers. Small tasks like this add up points quickly for you so after a few days you can be using those points for gift cards. Another thing besides the Perk rewards points that you earn are tokens. Those can be used to enter sweepstakes for things like bitcoin or appliances.

One other cool feature of Perk is the Perk TV app. If you have an extra device laying around such as a tablet that isn't often used, you can download the app and let it run to earn you points. You can have up to five devices running for your account earning points by streaming videos. I personally even have it running on my phone while I am asleep so that I am always earning.

If you join Perk Here - Join Perk then you will get 50 points to get you started.

Craigslist - Easy and quick

The easiest way I have found ro make a quick easy buck is selling items on Craigslist. If you anything laying around such as an old guitar, maybe a computer, or even some magazines, you can sell any of that on Craigslist.

Maybe you do not necessarily want cash, but a specific item? Well chances are you can find that item on Craigslist, and you may just be able to trade something you no longer use for it.

Craigslist can be a great place to make extra money quick, and typically easily. You post an ad, answer a few texts, or calls, then meet them in a public place.

Adly - Large Social Network

Do you have a large following on a Social media website? Do you think a lot of people on that social media website appreciate your opinion? Well, based upon the posts you make, and the things that you are interested in you can actually sell your rights to your social media blog to a company such as Adly. They review your social media choice, and your interests. Next, if you are what they are looking for, they will give you money to post certain advertisements that they send you. They pay you more based upon how many followers you have, quality of followers, and how active you are.

This is a fairly easy way to grab some extra cash when you are a social butterfly on something such as Facebook. I am unsure if we can find anything easier for those of you who are addicted to social media anyways.

Swag Bucks

A fun little corner of the internet is SwagBucks. There are very few legit websites that you can fill out surveys, and it actually pays. Sure this website does not pay a ton of money, but if you do a few things here and there you can gain a few gift cards from Amazon. You can earn points by buying items that you were going to buy on websites anyways, but you go through them. This is a neat way to get extra cash back on your purchases.

So you can also grab coupons to shop at actual stores. You redeem your points once they are used in store. This is really great since you can use the Ibotta, Checkout 51, and Snap Apps to double, or even triple dip. You can really start stacking as many things as you can. This is a great way to get some extra cash for beer.

You can watch videos for swagbucks, play games, search the internet, answer polls, etc. There is almost always something to do on there for SwagBucks. It is nice reap the benefits of your work, as mindless, or easy as it may be.

eToro - Trading simply, and easily.

Do you have money to invest? Not sure where to invest? Maybe you have an extra $200 dollars laying around and you are wondering how to make the most of that cash? Well here is an idea. The quickest way to making large amounts of money is simple. The more money you have, the more money you can make, and the easier it becomes to make money.

Here is a nice website to get the ball rolling eToro. This website is great for new investors with smaller amounts of startup capital. eToro is a great learning tool for investing as well. You can almost automate all of you investment decisions. If you watch who is investing money, and where they put their money, you can actually copy them. This is a feature of the website. This is a fantastic idea for a trading website. They are also a social network as well.

eToro is a great way to get your feet wet. You can learn how to trade just by copying the pros. You can network as well to get more  knowledge on how become better at trading.

Finally, if you sign up prior to November 9th, you can use this code "newcopy" which will vet you an additional 50% of your initial deposit. There is a minimum deposit amount of $200. That means that even if you deposit the minimum of $200, you will have $300 to trade with.

Another Fiverr

We came across another Fiverr website. Here we have a website that you can name your price anywhere from $4 - $100. This website even has an ‘erotic’ section (weird I know). This place is doing pretty well. They seem to be right up there with Fiverr. The place is www.fiverup.com.

I really liked the layout of the website, and it is fairly easy to get paid by them. You can offer anything from writing articles, SEO, to music production. They have a section that users post advice for money. Maybe you are really good at giving advice? Maybe you are really good at editing photos?

So head over to FIverUp, and check it out. They are a really great place to get that extra cash flowing for some beer.

Simple tasks add up

If you are bored and surfing the web endlessly, you could put the time and boredom to use. One site that you can do this on is Amazon Mechanical Turk. If you already have an Amazon account, it can be used to sign up for Mechanical Turk and Amazon payments so that you can receive the money that is earned. If not, it is a quick process to create an account.

Money is earned by completing HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks). These are normally simple tasks such as searching Google for a specific term and listing some results or taking surveys. Some are redundant and menial... some are longer and more involved. There are different payouts for each task completed and bonuses available on many tasks. Once you start getting some experience, it opens the door to larger payouts. You can learn what to look for to make the most of your time on the site and start stacking up some money for yourself for doing very simple things. The more you do, the more you earn!

If you find that you are over whelmed by the amount of "Turks" out there, and if you feel like you are wasting your time on this then check out: HITsWorthTurkingFor from Reddit. This is a huge resource, and help for getting more from MTurk in less time.

Are you good at SEO

If you are asking yourself “What is SEO?” then this post may not be for you. SEO, in a nutshell, is just what the acronym stands for “Search Engine Optimization”. We have come across another website for those that have a very specific need. They need assistance getting better Page Ranking (PR), or an Alex rating, more traffic to their website, etc.

Let’s say you happen to be very good at any of these items above, well we may have just the right way to earn some extra money. We came across a website that is very similar to the below “Fiverr” in that you can sell a service for money on their webpage. The website (www.seoclerks.com) allows you to offer your SEO skills for anywhere from $1 all the way up to $999. Obviously it would greatly depend on the things you are offering, on what you could charge. This is an excellent idea, a simple place to build cred in the SEO world.

Fiverr

We came across Fiverr a while back. We have used this here and there. This is a very neat concept. It is simple to setup an account to Fiverr. It is pretty simple; you can post your skill, or offer a service for $5. For example you could offer to write 500 words for $5. Fiverr is starting to become a little crowded for some ideas such as writing. You would have to offer a lot of words to get started. Once you get started though a lot of people will come back and re-use your service as long as you are up if you are good.

You just need to get a good client following in your area for Fiverr to start working out. It is typically small things that people/businesses need to do that are redundant, or they do not have time to accomplish (in our experience). Overall, we approve of Fiverr.

We've all been there...

We have all been in a situation where some extra money could really come in handy. Maybe you are a college student looking for beer money. Maybe you are fresh out of college with an entry level position funneling all of your extra cash to student loans. You may have recently had a child and are unable to work full time... Whatever it may be, a little extra cash flow is always a good thing.

You probably have at least some downtime during part of your day. Some people have downtime while at work. If you are watching your TV shows or the Monday night game, why not be making some money at the same time? There are very simple tasks that you can do to make small amounts of money. Granted, these will most likely not make you enough to make a living off of, but some supplemental income is a great thing The purpose of this blog is to highlight some ways to spend your time making money, even when you are not doing anything productive.

There is a routine that you can develop and fit into the routine you already follow daily. It is even possible to make some extra money while you are sleeping. Keep up with us to find out how little bits of extra money can add up quickly to cash that you can put to (good) use!

Ibotta - just as easy.

Much like the last post that was made, another app has been found. I like this app for other reasons. This app is similar to Checkout 51, in that it has the same features. This app just slightly differs in that it is store specific. So if you frequent a particular store, you can search for the offers for that store specifically. This comes into handy if you do a lot of the grocery shopping in a few places. You can build a shopping list from both the Checkout 51, and the Ibotta app, and then upload your receipt to both. Again this is about as easy as it gets, you are already shopping, and as long as the app has your favorite stores, then you are ahead of the game.

The interface for Ibotta is nice as well. It is easily navigated. I have found I just open both apps while I make my grocery lists, then I just compare what they have to what I get. I usually do both of the offers if they have more than one offer. For example, watch this quick video, and check out this recipe.  This is slightly more time consuming than Checkout 51, but you can sometimes double dip. You can redeem milk on the Checkout 51 app, then again on the Ibotta app. It works very well so far.

Finally, Ibotta is a very nice little app. It is simple, and easy to make extra for doing the things that you are already doing. Grab the Ibotta app from here: https://ibotta.com/r/crwgbiw. Use referral code “crwgbiw”.

Simple, Easy money from things you already do!

I spent a couple weeks attempting to find savings for my family from using coupons on the internet, but all that I really came across was websites that were sprouted from the extreme coupons era. These were mostly fake scam websites luring you in to get your machine infected with Mal-ware, viruses, etc. Then I happened to stumble across this lovely little app on the Android market. This app seemed too good to be true. I elected to download this app as I have done many of times in the past. I created an account on this app to find that everything that it said it did, well it did do.

So the app is called Checkout51. It is super simple. All you do is sign up with either you email address, or Facebook account. Next, review their offers. Let’s say Milk is one of the offers inside of their offers list. It will say a price. Let’s say it shows ($0.75). Alright, so you go shopping that night, and grab some milk at the store.  Once you get home, all you have to do is take a picture (with your phone), then upload that picture to the app. They review the receipt, and then add that ($0.75) to your account. This does not sound like a lot of money, but it adds up quickly, and it may help you try a new thing or two you have been debating. Once you have $20+ in your account, you can then request a pay out of that money.

This is an excellent idea for anyone that loves to use coupons, since this is essentially stacking coupons on top of one another, and the store that you buy these items from have no say of whether they will accept them or not. You cut them out. This is also something you already do anyways. You go to the store, and buy food. You are just taking a picture with your phone, and adding two seconds to shopping. You can even star the items you want, or as you shop you star the items you are throwing into your cart, so once you get home all you have to do is snap a picture of the receipt, and you are done!
